**This is a courtesy listing for Frosted Faces Vintage Paws Rescue** Have you been looking to help a special rescue dog in need?
Look no further- you've found Abbey.
<3 Abbey is a senior Shepherd mix who came into rescue SIX YEARS ago.
Abbey was initially quite fearful/feral and she HAS made some strides with her socialization over the years.
Still, Abbey is avoidant of people and will move away from them if given the chance.
If Abbey is in her kennel, we can pet her and she is tolerant of pets and handling.
She will take treats from your hand as she gets more comfortable with you.
Abbey does love chew bones and sniffing around in the sunshine.
She does well with other dogs and her bestie is Carmen, who has also been at rescue as long as she has.
When Abbey sees Carmen, she will go up to her wagging her tail and give her a hello sniff and kiss.
Abbey will likely never be a lap dog or a super interactive dog with people.
She would do best with an experienced dog owner who realizes this and accepts Abbey for who she is.
Abbey deserves more than a kennel environment for the rest of her life.
She deserves to not always hear the sound of other dogs barking, and to feel the sunshine on her face whenever she wants, not just when volunteers are available to get her out of her kennel.
Does Abbey speak to your heart?
We would love for you to come meet her.
<3 Frosted Faces Rescue is open to a foster or forever home for Abbey.
