Meet Aela - WI
Hudson, WI
Aela is looking for a home. Please read her entire bio. You must be able to provide her with all the requirements spelled out in the bio. None of the terms are negotiable. No substitutions. We will not ship or transport her. She eats a raw diet; 4 meals a day and must be fed separately from other pets and cannot have access to food otherwise outside of her mealtimes.
Meet Aela! She is a 6 yo, TICA registered, seal mink spoted Bengal who is a joy to have around and will make a wonderful companion. She has spirit for days and a sweet as pie personality.
Aela is spayed, FeLV/FIV negative, has all of her claws, and is up to date on vaccines. She is a very well socialized and well-mannered chaty girl who does well around other cats, dogs and children. Like most Bengals she is quite active and loves affection on her terms. She has excellent literbox habits and uses taller scratching posts well. She uses both a Litter Robot and traditional liter box perfectly, although a traditional literbox should ideally be a top entry as she pees standing up. Her favorite toys include Da Bird, Da Bee, springs, and sparkly balls.
Aela was recently diagnosed with exocrine pancreatic c insufficiency (EPI), which is a condition where the pancreas stops producing digestive enzymes. It is easily treated with a pancreatic enzyme powder added to each meal.
Aela has made a remarkable recovery and will go on to lead a normal life with a normal lifespan. Her weight and body condition have returned to normal. She just had a vet exam and comprehensive lab work, all of which looked very good. She is now ready to continue her journey to her forever family and we couldn’t be more excited for her!
For Aela to continue to thrive and live her best life she *requires* a balanced raw diet with pancreatic enzyme powder added to all meals, neither are optional. Support for both EPI and raw feeding will be available. The pancreatic enzymes cost about $15-$20 per month and can be purchased online without a prescription. She will have a supply of enzymes with her that should last at least a couple of months. She requires 4 meals per day and does eat a bit more than the average Bengal her size to maintain her ideal weight, which is normal for an EPI cat. She must be fed separately from other pets and cannot have access to food otherwise outside of her mealtimes.
