Meet our sweet boy Alan!
Alan is an ex-racing Greyhound who is now looking for a loving home where he can live out his retirement years. He came to our care from another rescue and was rehomed by us, though unfortunately, he was returned to Battersea due to struggling with separation anxiety when left on his own. Alan will need new owners who have minimal leaving hours and are confident they have the time and patience to work on his separation anxiety and build up any time spent alone slowly.
Alan has shown to be a friendly and affectionate boy, who enjoys nothing more than leaning into his people for neck scratches and a good fuss. He also loves squeaky toys and has shown a playful side, getting the zoomies in our paddock spaces when tennis balls are involved!
On walks, Alan will need to be kept on lead and muzzled as a precaution due to his ex-racing history and chase behaviours towards smaller dogs and animals. After his walks, Alan loves to lie upside down on his bed with his legs in all directions and take a well earned rest!
Alan is excited to start his new life in a forever home where he has multiple carers and access to a private and secure garden, so he can have off lead zoomies and a good potter about.
