Alf is fun, lively and very enthusiastic about life. Alf is based at Battersea in Old Windsor.
He is a strong dog who is looking for confident and experienced owners who can continue his training and help him with putting boundaries in place in the home. He enjoys being around people and, once he has burned off some energy, he’ll settle for a bit of a fuss.
Alf’s main joy in life is playing with toys and he’d play all day if he could. He sometimes forgets his manners and doesn’t know when to stop, so has some training in place to help with which will need to be continued in his new home. He’s very bright and needs plenty of training to keep his mind busy, as he gets bored easily.
He needs some further support around other dogs. With some, he can be a little uncomfortable and worried but with others he has shown to be exuberant when playing and has shown an element of chase. Alf will need to be kept on lead when on walks for the time being for this reason and needs owners who feel confident to continue his training when he is on his walks.
Alf finds busy places quite stressful and does need a quieter home, where he can have walks in areas where there are not too many other dogs around.
We feel that with a consistent routine and the opportunity to bond with his owners, Alf’s affectionate character will really shine through and he’ll be lots of fun for the right home who can meet all his needs and give him the time he needs. Alf may be able to live with teenagers.
