Arlo is a lovely Doberman, based at our Old Windsor centre, who is fun, energetic and affectionate.
He is looking for owners who have some knowledge or experience of his breed - he is typically sensitive at times and can be strong on lead, so needs owners who can commit to his training.
He loves toys, his favourites being tennis balls and squeaky toys. He also enjoys tug games with a rope toy.
He was house trained in his previous home and was described as a bright dog. We know that Arlo has previously struggled when being left alone and could be destructive at times. He needs owners who are able to give him consistent company as he settles, and understand that it may take him some time to begin to be comfortable to be left for short periods of time.
He will need some training around recall, he responds well to training with treats. Arlo needs to live as the only dog in his new home; he is a little mixed in his reactions and can either be full on and playful or quite worried and at times vocal towards other dogs. His owners will need to take him for lead walks with other dogs and find him suitable dogs to socialise with and help build his confidence and manners.
Arlo is a super example of the Doberman breed and will delight breed enthusiasts.
