Meet Artemis
******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************

Artemis was saved from the euthanasia list at an overcrowded shelter in Houston. PLEASE NOTE **** She is currently located in Houston, TEXAS and can transport to an approved adopter. ******

This girl is a social butterfly! She loves everyone! Men, women, kids, other dogs her size or bigger and even cats! Her foster mom took the cat introduction slow over a 2 week period and Artemis was good around them.

She is still very much a puppy at 15 months old and is high energy. She would do best with a very active family or person and with kids ages 10 and up because she doesn’t realize her size and could accidentally knock smaller kids over. She LOVES the outdoors and seeing people.

She gets a little excited at first when on leash but settles in and will walk next to you. Artemis knows basic manners like sit and stay; she is very intelligent and super eager to learn so someone that will continue to teach her things and keep up with her training as she loves pleasing her person and the rewards/treats afterwards. She LOVES pup cups!

No food aggression has been seen in her foster home but she should be fed separate from any other animals in the house because she will eat their food if they aren’t eating it. (She would eat the cat food in her foster home). She loves chew toys and is very cuddly & affectionate.
