Meet Arugula
Born around August of 2021, Arugula is a female Blue Lacy (per previous owner). She is a medium dog weighing about 30 lbs, fully grown. Good with kids, cats, other dogs, and strangers, she would fit well into any family. She is a medium energy dog that would love people to play with and go on a walk now and then.
Arugula loves to play fetch and would love someone to throw a ball for her! She enjoys spending the day following her person around and snuggling. Her love of food has caused a bit of a bad habit of counter surfing, but she can easily be trained to stop that behavior.
Arugula and her relatives came to the rescue from the local shelter, after being surrendered by her owners. She had a few litters of puppies, and when things got a little out of control, the owners were overwhelmed by the situation they found themselves in.
Spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, 100% crate trained, working on potty training, does well on a leash, sleeps through the night, knows how to use a doggy door, and can be left alone. She is very treat motivated and learns quickly.
At the rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. We are 100% foster based and rely on volunteers and fosters to help in our mission. Our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED.
We will choose the most suitable home for each dog, not the first application received.
If the dog you are applying for is adopted, we have good matchmakers that will help you find your perfect new four-legged family member.
Since the dogs that come up are rescues, not much is known about them. Therefore breed and adult sizes are our best guesses and we cannot guarantee this information is accurate.
Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option to your local area for an additional delivery surcharge of $250.
