Introducing the Potatoes Litter, born 5/23/23. These pups will be ready to go home 10/11 or any day after that. Their mom is a German Shepherd mix, and their dad (or dads!) could be just about anyone... there is definite terrier/wire-haired influence in a few, and their sizes are all over the place. They are currently in foster care together, and their foster mom's descriptions of each are below.
MASHED: female, the runt of the litter, wants to be with you always, loves to cuddle. Mashed had a tough beginning, and needed extra love to grow strong. Now she's used to all that attention. She would thrive in a home with bigger kids, ones that are mindful of her still little stature. Weight 12# as of 9/20.
AU GRATIN: male, very laid back, soulful eyes. He has a tender personality, loves pets and ear rubs. He will do well in a home with kids who will teach him new things. He likes toys and tears squeakers out quickly. Weight 24# as of 9/20.
FRENCH FRY: female, a very vocal bossy little girl. She'll be a good supervisor someday, or a tattletale. She also had a very tough beginning. Her small stature would do better with a home that has older kids. She's a rough and tumble girl, like a tomboy. Very spunky and ready for adventure! Weight 16# as of 9/20.
GNOCCHI: male, an old soul in a puppy package. He's calm, loves attention, lap time and lots of love. He seeks out all the attention you'll give. He's ready for your new adventure! Maybe running with you? Maybe walks on the beach? Weight 18# as of 9/20.
BAKED: female, initially very shy but she loves food and treats and quickly warmed up. Loves ear rubs, neck scratches and being told how pretty she is. She can be a little bossy, pushing her way in for the most attention. She plays with squeeky toys, kong toys and chews on baby sister, Mashed. Would love to crawl onto your lap on her terms. Weight 17# as of 9/20.
HASHBROWN: male, a sassy little boy, he likes to play. Will quickly run to you and run into you, then poof, gone. Hashbrown, timid at arrival, is now more playful, plays tug of war, chases sticks and runs laps. He is stocky, but smaller in stature. Weight 12# as of 9/20.
Puppies require a lot of human interaction, and all puppies will benefit from obedience training and full immersion in their human household. These pups' ideal homes will have someone who can exercise them with a couple of energetic walks each day, plus commitment to training them how to be the best dogs they can be. They hope to have very few hours per day when they will be without the companionship of a human or other pet, and will reward their forever people with boundless love and loyalty!
All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $150 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.
Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
