This is BARKLEY. A world-class napper with a fondness for outdoor adventures. He likes his daily walks around the neighbourhood, and enjoys saying hello to his community humans. He has recently started to show his playful side for short bouts between naps. And when he’s extra excited (like when his foster parents come home from work), he likes to greet them at the door with a toy to show off.

Barkley is looking for a chill household to call his home. With the right person(s), he would do just fine in a condo, but he’d prefer a life outside of the city if he could find it. That’s only because he’s not gung-ho about every dog that crosses his path, but with some changes to his walking style, we can foresee him overcoming this. He is currently working on reactivity to other dogs & squirrels so his new handler would be needing to continue this progress.

BARKLEY is comfortable being left alone during the day (we’re talkin’ to you 9-5ers!). BARKLEY would do best as an only dog. He is more interested in human friendships and #movienightvibes. He is not good with cats from interactions seeing them on walks. He is not currently social with dogs.

BARKLEY knows his basic commands and is working on stay and leave it.
