Meet the handsome gentleman, Beau Beau! He is an energetic 4 year old terrier mix. He came to us from a high-intake shelter in Louisiana where he was found as a stray. Beau Beau was malnourished and covered in scars when he arrived at HAP. While we are not sure what his past may have been, he sure is one happy-go-lucky boy! Beau Beau has done well with other dogs in playgroup and has a very talkative play style. He enjoys going for long walks and has a blast tossing around some toys. He would love an active family to help tire him out. After some exercise and play, he melts into the snuggliest boy that just wants love! When he's not off on an adventure, you can usually find him curled up on his bed in the deepest sleep.

Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog, but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
