Meet Ben
We would like the world to meet BIG BEN!
Ben was found by some Good Samaritans suffering from a few gunshot wounds and was turned over to the local animal shelter.
We were then contacted to see if we could step in and get him the medical help he needed.
He had a gunshot through his tail (easy healing on that one) a gunshot in the chest (still there) and the worst was his shattered leg. We tried for a few weeks to see if we could save the leg, however, it would not heal as we hoped so we opted to amputate it.
Ben has healed wonderfully and is now ready to sing the songs of his people in a home of his own.
Ben is approximately 2 years old, estimated date of birth is 1-3-2020.
He is a gentle love with stage 5 velcro attachment to his person. You will NEVER be alone again (for anything) if you bring this big guy home!
He is crate-trained, potty-trained, and non-destructive in the home. He does not chew on inappropriate items and is not one to mark his territory.
He has a dominant personality and is still working through “Sharing” toys, people, food, etc.
He would be great as an only dog to someone home a lot or as a work buddy. He could do well with a proper introduction to a submissive female dog. He is a hard no-on cat!
Ben is not suitable for an apartment, or condo type of living situation. He will require a home with a fully fenced yard-6 feet minimum and no chain link with adults or adults and children over 5.
Let's get Ben the wonderful home he so deserves! His joyful spirit has not been diminished by the cruelty he experienced.
