Meet Benilli
If you have additional questions please email [email protected]
Benilli found himself in a NC shelter after being confiscated by a Military Animal Control Officer. We don't know the circumstances in which AC became involved, but we're thankful they did. Ben became part of a cruelty case. He only weighed 30lbs at 3 years old.
After being assessed by a Veterinarian, and gaining 11lbs in just 6 days from a refeeding regimen, the Vet documented their findings as:
"Dog appears to have been starved as no other finds for severe emaciation..."
What is wrong with people?!
Well, we got you now Big Ben and you'll have an endless supply of kibble! The craziest part if Ben thinks he's just the life of the party wherever he goes. His spirit has not been broken. There's never a time he's not happy or running around with a smile on his face.
Ben is learning some basic manners and has now mastered sit and is working on shake. He's learned to play nicely with the other dogs and would like a playmate in his forever home. Benilli is SUPER vocal and will need a single family home so he doesn't upset any neighbors. He likes to sing the song of his people. Ben is a wooly and will need brushing nearly daily to make sure he doesn't get mats.
If you're looking for a happy and fun companion who will make you smile daily - this guy would be an awesome addition to your pack. Apply to adopt Benilli!!!
~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it's like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you're interested in. If you're still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply
