Meet Benny
Benny is available for adoption! He is located at the Boise Bully Breed rescue facility.
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Benny is good with other dogs and in off leash doggy playgroups, older (10+) respectful children. He is leash trained and knows basic commands. He loves to be with people, can be a big goof ball and all around ham when he is happy, loves to play with toys but not very good at fetch. Benny is a bit shy when you first meet him and a little overwhelmed in the shelter environment, but with lots of love and affection he will start to warm up and lean on you for affection. Once Benny is comfortable with you, he can he can become a big goofball! He will try to play fetch, but can easily be distracted with so many new things to investigate, and boy does he love the belly rubs, and once he has your attention, he will lavish you with kisses.
Talk about bad luck! Benny went into a foster to adopt in November, 2022. The adopter reported Benny missing or stolen in March, 2023. The “adopter” finally showed up with him in June and Benny was in very rough shape. He had lost 10 pounds, had a very stiff and painful hind end, was shut down and would flinch when handling. With the help of the wonderful medical staff and behavior team at the shelter he is doing much better! He still needs continued care for medical condition, and this has put him at risk. This guy has the biggest mushy face ever!
