Ciao, friends my name is Bernardo and I am one of those rare shelter gems! Really digging in to the breed dictionary here for all you dog show snobs out there.

I am handsome, rugged, eager to please - some could call me the perfect man (tall, dark and handsome!).

I am hoping for a home committed to my learning and willing to help me adjust from puppy exuberance to refined adulthood.

Like a good Italian wine, I am hoping to get better with age.

I may be jumpy and excitable but I am hoping to learn that taking it slow, letting people come to me and basic manners are all to make me an even better lovable companion for you! I am big and strong and working on leash manners, and would love to learn with you.

My exuberance and excitement does sometimes mean I can come on too strong and so I am hoping for adopters to help me practice my impulse control and settle a bit before getting to meet new dogs.
