BERTIE

Meet BERTIE

Bertie is a two year old 50 pound Rhodesian/Thai Ridgeback mix with a lot of love to give. She loves cuddles, hugs, rubs and pets. She wants nothing more than to please her guardians, and loves giving and receiving affection. She is always eager to obey commands, and she knows how to sit, go to bed, wait, and comes when called. Her light brown eyes and pointy ears are very expressive. Bertie currently lives with a doggie sister, a mini schnauzer, and would do well with a brother or sister dog in a new home. She loves to run and play alone and with other dogs. Bertie walks well but can get nervous around stranger dogs, and sometimes is reluctant to approach certain people visiting the house. She has a lot of energy, so would do really well with people who would like to take her for long hikes or have space for her to run and burn energy.
Bertie is nervous around young children and can be nervous meeting new people. She just needs some time to warm up. She needs a family that can get her to enjoy walks and hikes and work on leash walking with her. She enjoys playing fetch in a back yard.
