Where are the sight hound lovers? We need your help to find our girl Bianca a quiet home that understands her. Bianca is a 3-year-old spayed female Afghan Hound/ Siberian Husky mix. We know what you’re thinking, and we agree that she does look like a Grey Hound mix, but she is not. Bianca was purchased from a local pet store that has a history of selling puppy mill and/or back yard bred dogs and why anybody would mix these two breeds is beyond our comprehension. Don’t get us wrong, Bianca is a lovely dog, but she is also a work in progress.
This poor girl lived with a family that loved her, but the environment was very chaotic. Bianca was given up for adoption when her human realized that she could not provide proper care or housing for her. Bianca can be a bit dramatic at times and she does not always respond well to corrections due to her fearful nature. Bianca does have a history of a very minor bite that occurred when she put her front paws on a counter and she nipped her human on the knuckle as her paw was being pushed off the counter.
Bianca lived with a cat and she and the cat were good friends. Her ideal home would be a quiet adult-only home, with a secure fenced yard, or with owners that like to go for long walks or hikes. Bianca also needs a patient family that will be willing to give her time to adjust, time to trust, and also work with her on socialization & continued training.
