Bilbo has been in our care for over 18 months now. He is a delightful boy that will make a loyal, loving companion.
WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT ME
Bilbo is a smart and playful young dog still waiting for his family to adopt him! He has a charismatic, cheeky personality and a loving, kind nature. Bilbo is super smart and picks up new things quickly. Because Bilbo is a clever dude he will need a home that will continue his training and give him lots of enrichment, engagement and exercise. He knows the basics such as "sit" and "wait" and walks well on a harness and lead. However, Bilbo is not too fond of noisy roads as he finds them a bit scary. He more prefers walks in the forest, parks or lakes! Bilbo has come from the farm environment and he has LOTS of energy, so we think he'll be best suited to a home with lots of outdoor space for him to run around. Bilbo has grown up in the Centre from 8 weeks old. Because of this, he has missed out on learning some key pointers about living in a home environment, and has some behaviors that he'll need help working through! The team at the Rotorua Centre are happy to discuss these further with any applicants. Bilbo is a very social boy and gets on well with other dogs, however, he has a prey drive so would not be suited to a home with cats or other small animals. We would also need to do a meet and greet with any existing dogs applicants have. If you're after a fun, life-loving, loyal dog then Bilbo is the canine for you.
