Meet Blazer
Blazer was picked up by animal control in our small town. He wasn't reclaimed by his owner, so he's looking for his forever home. He was incredibly withdrawn and scared when he arrived, but he's completely come out of his shell!
Blazer appears to be around 2 years old and is currently about 60-65 pounds.
This sweetheart has done great with other dogs and is highly outgoing and playful. He does well on-leash as well.
Blazer hasn't been around cats since he's been with us, so we won't be adopting him into a home that has cats.
This guy isn't in a foster home, so all housetraining etc. will be up to the adopter. We don't know any of his history, so we don't know if he's lived indoors or not. He certainly likes to hang out in our office, so we feel like he would easily mold himself into a house dog if he hasn't had the chance before!
Blazer is a great boy. He was short on manners when he arrived, but he's a quick learner. We are working on not jumping up to say hi, etc. He can be mouthy when he greets you and plays with you, so right now we wouldn't let him go into a home with young kids simply because he might accidentally nip/pinch with his mouth when playing.
Blazer's adoption fee is $500 which includes his neuter, current vaccinations (rabies, 2 parvo/distemper boosters, bordatella), negative heartworm test, registered microchip, negative fecal, health certificate, and transport costs.
He is available through Paw Pals of Hale Center, a partner rescue of Project Freedom Ride. We are located in the Texas Panhandle. He is located here in Texas with our rescue. He would be transported on one of the PFR transports to either Meridian ID, SLC, UT, Seattle, WA, Mt Vernon, WA, Kennewick, WA, Portland, OR, Buffalo/Syracuse/Newburgh/Castleton on Hudson, NY, Philadelphia, PA, Cleveland, OH, Springfield or Chicago, IL, Halethorpe, MD, Lansing, MI, Madison, WI, Minneapolis, MN, Des Moines, IA, Kansas City, MO, Indianapolis, IN, Springfield/Richmond, VA or Bedminster, NJ.
As a Paw Pals of Hale Center direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet would take place on video call (FB Messenger Call, Facetime, Whats App, or Google Duo). The adoption application and fee would be finalized prior to transport.
