Meet Bonita
******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************

Bonita, 3 years old, spayed female, Cattle dog/Pitbull mix, 50 pounds. She is located in Houston, TEXAS and can transport to an approved adopter. Please note she is physically located in the state of Texas.

Bonita loves people! She makes the funniest/cutest faces too! We think she is a cattle dog/pit mix, but she does not have "typical" cattle dog behaviors. She is moderate energy and will need a somewhat active home.

She has met other dogs and is initially a little scared. Like any dog newly coming into the home, she will need time to acclimate and transition. Once she has a few hours to make friends, she is happy to run around play. She does not tend to play "hard" with other dogs, but is happy to play chase.

She is house broken and does great in her crate. She does pull on leash. She is very responsive if you have any experience in leash training. She loves to go on walks and check things out. She is not reactive when seeing other people or dogs out on leash. She rides great in the car!

Bonita is a happy girl who will continue to build her confidence as she experiences new things. She will jump up when excited.

We have no history with cats or kids. We recommend a home with kids 12 years and older.
