Meet Bonita

True to her name this gorgeous girl is on the lookout for her perfect match. Bonita joined our rescue from a shelter where she was about to be euthanized. She had reportedly been hit by a car some time back, and when her owner brought her in to surrender her, shelter staff reported he was beating her with a piece of hose. We're guessing it's because she wouldn't listen, but maybe the owner didn't know that she's deaf.

Bonita has remained in great spirits and is doing well now. She was fostered with four female dogs previously, but she would do great as an only dog. Bonita is very affectionate. Since she can't hear, she makes noise when she's crated to let you know that she's unhappy, but is more than content lounging on a patio couch and following her person around. Bonita is around 4.
