Meet Brave Bruce! Brave Bruce was surrendered to the San Diego Humane Society by his owner due to loss of housing and financial difficulty.
He is 10 years old and weighs 10.5 lbs.
We scooped him up on January 29th to become a Frosted Face! Brave Bruce is sweet baby who enjoys being held and cuddled.
He knows SIT and JUMP, and he springs right into your arms! Brave Bruce joined the founders of FFF for a fun evening out at a winery and concert.
He was the perfect companion! Brave Bruce did great meeting lots of new people and didn't mind the music and all the activity.
Brave Bruce also represented FFF at a community organization's luncheon and was a wonderful ambassadors.
He was a social butterfly and mingled with the 75 people in attendance.
He loved all the attention and pets! Brave Bruce loves going on our Sunday FFF hikes.
He is an energetic and affectionate boy with lots of pep in his paws and spring in his step! He seems especially drawn to children, and when he was paired with a volunteer and her young son, Bruce followed his lead everywhere.
From the trail to the pond to the boulders at Ramona Grasslands, Brave Bruce was eager to explore but also keen to just snuggle and take in his surroundings.
Brave Bruce went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn what he is like in a home.
His Fling Mom shared this great report: "Here are some things we've learned about Bruce: - He's the goofiest and sweetest boy! I just love his silly personality, floppy ears, and long springy legs.
He's cuddled up right next to me now as I type this.
He's always so happy to see you and follows you all around the house with his tail wagging.
- He is great in his crate and will sleep through the night.
Sometimes he cries a tiny bit when he first goes in, but he settles very quickly and then is silent.
- He loves food and treats! Cleans his plate always.
- We've been working on a bit of leash reactivity towards other dogs.
He is already doing much better, and when I say "Bruce.
look! He turns to look at me right away and sits.
He walks great on leash otherwise.
I also live in a super dog populated area so this may not be an issue for someone who has a yard or lives in a quiet area.
- He gets along with my dog and they like to roll around on our bed playing.
He even grabbed a toy for the first time yesterday.
- This boy can really keep up and loves to RUN when he can, so he would be a great walking and hiking companion.
Bruce is really the best, and I know he will make someone so happy! I am glad he has had a few weeks of so much love here with us.
Here's to hoping he find his forever really soon!" If you are looking for a fun and loving addition to your family, please consider adopting Brave Bruce!
