Introducing Bucky, the captivating canine that brings a dash of wolf-like charm to your life! At around 68 pounds, he's got the body of a seasoned adventurer, boasting long legs and a luxurious ruff of dark fur that frames his head and chest.
But here's the twist – despite his wolfie exterior, Bucky's actually a mild-mannered, sweet soul with an unwavering desire to please and cuddle.
He's your go-to cuddlebug, thriving on affection and positive vibes.
Although he arrived at the shelter with an estimated age of 7 years, two weeks of loving care, hearty meals, and exercise have transformed him.
Bucky now embodies the energy and playful spirit of a much younger pup.
Walks are his jam! Bucky's got the cool, collected vibe down to a tee.
Most of the time, he's the picture of contentment, happy, quiet, and mellow.
But when it's walk time, brace yourself for an explosion of excitement (who can blame him?).
And when he joined us at an outdoor restaurant, he simply laid down beneath the table like a pro.
No food or toy tantrums, and he's quite the charmer when meeting new people, although he's still mastering the art of exuberant greetings (those jumps for kisses are a work in progress!).
This smart fella is quick on the uptake, although he seems to have skipped the previous training classes.
House-training?
Check! And he's currently brushing up on his 'sit' skills.
Remarkably, he's never chewed up your favorite shoes or furniture.
Bucky's demonstrated that he's more than comfortable cohabiting with other dogs and can be left alone for up to three hours without any issues.
During his first week, Bucky found solace in a crate, which served as his safe haven when feeling a tad anxious.
But as he grew accustomed to his new surroundings, the crate was no longer a necessity.
When he got his paws on some brand-new toys, his joy was infectious – it was like he'd never seen a toy before! He even snuggles up with his favorite playthings on his cozy bed.
When it comes to prey reactivity, Bucky falls somewhere between "meh" and "okay." Squirrels don't send him into a frenzy, and he's genuinely curious about new experiences.
Startling noises or unusual behaviors don't trigger fearful or aggressive reactions either – he's the epitome of chill.
The good news?
Bucky is a grounded pup and doesn't partake in jumping escapades.
That 4.5-foot fence holds him in, and he's never attempted to conquer the standard-height deck rail.
Though he's not a pro digger, it might be worth keeping an eye on him in the garden! Socially, Bucky has integrated well with our two husky pals.
He's tactfully navigated the intricate dynamics of the husky ranks, finding his neutral spot within our three-husky household.
Plus, he's been instant buddies with our female husky from the get-go.
In a nutshell, Bucky's the ideal sidekick for your walks and hikes, yet he's also the king of relaxation.
Whether you're working from home or chilling on the couch, he's content to be your loyal companion.
He's not asking for much – just love, care, and a forever home! He would make a great first time husky for someone!! Please fill out an application to meet him!
