Buster Brown, 3 years old, neutered male, Pitbull, 60 pounds. He is in a foster home in San Antonio, TEXAS and can transport to an approved adopter. Please note, he is physically located in the State of Texas.
Buster is an incredibly sweet dog. He managed to survive nearly a month at the highest kill shelter in San Antonio. He was so loved by staff, they hid him out in their office to avoid euthanasia :/
He is super friendly with humans and other dogs. He currently shares a home with another dog and they are the best of friends. It took him about a week to engage in play with her. He likes to run around the yard or share her dog bed when they nap. We think he would do wonderful with another dog in the home.
He is a solid medium energy kind of guy. He is not super active, but will get zoomies on occasion in the yard. He is excellent when walking on leash. His foster mom is teaching him to stay on her right side and he picked up basically right away. He really enjoys his walks.
There are chickens on the property. He was initially very interested, but was easily taught to ignore them. We have no history with cats or kids. We recommend a home with kids 8 years and older.
He’s perfectly housebroken. He is crated and night and if left unsupervised during the day. He loves his crate! We have not noticed any separation anxiety and he is always peacefully sleeping when his foster mom returns.
We think Buster would do great in many different households. We think he would like another dog in the home, but we do not think it's mandatory. He is a fast learner and very eager to please. He LOVES affection!
