This sweet doll is Caliopy! We were contacted by one of our partner shelters about this 5 year old beauty. Caliopy was picked up as a stray, and given her condition and body score, quickly became a cruelty case.
Her owner was identified and they begrudgingly surrendered her to the shelter. They claim their other dog wouldn't allow Caliopy to eat which is why she's so skinny. Caliopy only weighed 31lbs!

The case between the owner and the County is out of our purview and our focus will remain on Caliopy. After a six month shelter stay we were able to move her to a foster home. We're thankful we were able to get her to safety and are blessed to be able to offer her a better life.

Caliopy has adjusted to her new surroundings. She loves playing with the other Huskies and seems to love water! She's now 41lbs, spayed, vaccinated and healthy.
Cali would do fine with other dogs or as an only dog. She doesn't like to have plush toys taken away from her so we'd recommend a home who can refrain from stuffed animals. She is very affectionate with humans - both men and women.

Cali's adoption area is CT to VA.

~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it's like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you're interested in.
