Meet Callie
Meet Callie, the gentlest giant. This approximately 2 year old beautiful shepherd mix was rescued in Texas, is nearly 70 lbs, is very shy but she can give amazing hugs. She is housebroken, crate trained and does well on a leash (though she will stop everytime she sees a car). She is incredibly passive so while she does well with every dog she meets she can be easily bullied. Callie is also afraid of men and will take a bit to warm up to one so she must go to a home with at least one woman that she can bond with. She is gentle with children and ignores cats. She is also extremely food motivated and loves the water. Callie sadly does have heartworm but is currently undergoing treatment (funded by the rescue). She just needs a calm and peaceful space she can continue treatment in and some very patient and loving humans. She is very low energy so this shouldn't be too difficult on her part. If you are interested in a gentle sweet girl and you're able to give her time and space to heal and adjust then Callie may be just the pup for you.
