Meet Callie! Callie was surrendered by her owners to SEAACA (Southeast Area Animal Control Authority) because they could no longer afford to take care of her.
She became a Frosted Face on January 30th.
Callie is 9 years old, weighs 28 lbs., and is very sweet.
Callie enjoys going on our weekly FFF hikes and has lots of pep in her step.
Volunteers report she is a fun walking buddy and likes to run up hills! Callie takes treats gently and enjoys having her back scratched.
Callie went on a two-week Frosted Fling and earned rave reviews for being a "dream foster" and all-around best girl! Her Fling Mom reports: "Callie was a dream foster.
She was sweet and loving.
She has a gentle personality and just wants to nap on blankets and people all day.
She would make a great companion for anyone with a quiet lifestyle.
At first, Callie was hesitant of strangers.
Never showed any signs of aggression, just kept her distance and sometimes bark.
But always ended up warming up and sitting right next to or on top of anyone she met.
Callie was great around my own dog, who is smaller than her.
They coexisted and walked together so well.
She didn't seem too interested in playing.
She often would cuddle up to both my dog and me.
Callie seemed 100% potty trained! She didn't have any accidents and always did her business outdoors and on walks.
Callie enjoyed going for walks around a couple of blocks.
She walks rather slow, so it was a stroll.
Callie is such a sweetie and just wants to be near her people." Callie is back on-site and ready for her forever home! She is a young senior with lots of pep in her step and light in her eyes.
Her future person or family will be so lucky! Come meet her lovely Callie this Saturday and Sunday during Open House 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.
