Meet Camal.

Three veterinarians delivered a grim prognosis that she would never walk again due to a broken back.

She defied the odds and she is walking, running, and even swimming.

She’s a remarkable dog, with an insatiable love for water.

Her broken back damaged the ligament controlling her sphincters, leaving her without full control over her bladder and bowel movements.

Her bladder requires emptying two to three times a day, but there’s progress.

The silver lining?

The future adopter won’t face any issues giving her baths, because she adores the water.

She is leash trained, super social, loves kids but not cats.

She is full of life and energy.

We think she is a Lab and Weimaraner mix but aren't certain.

Camal will need a special adopter who knows how to manage a dog with incontinence.

She deserves a chance to live outside of the rescue.

Adoption process: Our rescue is located near Bucerias Mexico.

We use Petfinder to reach a greater audience for our dogs and adopt the majority of our dogs to the US and Canada.

The first step is to submit an application on our website here: Once we receive your application, we will review it and may contact you for more information or to conduct a home check.

If your application is approved and the dog is located in Mexico, we will collaborate with flight companions (flight angels) flying from Puerto Vallarta to destinations close to where the dog is posted as available.

Adopters can meet these flight angels at the airport and take the pup home.

(We can provide more detailed information about this process to adopters upon request.) Before requesting adoption fees or the signing of the adoption contract we give adopters a few days to a week to spend time with their new pup.

If for some reason things were not to work out, we kindly ask that the adopters foster the dog until we find a suitable home for them.

A few notes about our pups: - Most of our shelter dogs are accustomed to being outside and free-roaming unless otherwise stated.

Some may have been in homes before and could be potty trained but in a new environment they would need easy access to the outside and be re-acclimated to their designated potty area.

We cannot guarantee a pup is potty trained unless they are with a foster or surrendered to us with noted training.

- We can send more videos/pictures of our dogs.

Unfortunately, we cannot do live videos at our shelter.

- Our dogs are given de-wormer tested negative for heartworm (unless otherwise noted) are up to date on required vaccines for travel and receive regular flea and tick treatment.

They have also been evaluated by our vet who has provided any necessary medical care upon rescue.

-Last, but not least ,we LOVE our dogs and we hope you do too.

They have hearts of gold and so much love to give.
