Mission
Cat Haven's mission is to lead Baton Rouge in becoming a no-kill community for cats and kittens by providing care, shelter and adoption services as well as advocating routine spay and neuter for population control and quality of life.
Adoption Policy
When you adopt a furever friend from Cat Haven, you are adopting a cat or kitten that has received extraordinary loving care from our volunteers and the area's best veterinarians! We are open to the public everyday of the week so potential adopters can meet and interact with our furry friends.
Once you've found your purrfect match, you can complete an adoption application at our adoption center or online. Please note that an approved online adoption application does not guarantee that one of out cats will be suitable for your home or be the best match for you and your family. You will need to come to our facility and interact with the cats and not make a decision based on the online picture. We also cannot "hold" a cat for anyone based on an online application approval.
You must be at least 21-years-old to adopt from Cat Haven.
Adoption fees are as follows:
$125Â for cats who are 7 months or older.
$135Â for kittens up to 7 months of age.
Your adoption fee covers:
Spay/neuter
Testing for feline diseases
Age-appropriate vaccinations
Microchip
De-flea/De-worm treatments
