Cedric – Labrador/Shar Pei mix – 2yrs – male (68lbs) Meet our goofy boy, Cedric! This funny boy was found wandering in a park where people called Animal Control to pick him up.
When they arrived, they noticed that he could hardly see, he was bumping into things and his eyes were swollen and looked infected.
He was taken back to the county shelter where they put out a plea asking for a rescue to take a “medical case” – we were happy to help.
Cedric was happy and outgoing even though he could barely see; he seemed unaffected by his condition.
Shortly after he arrived, he had surgery: entropion surgery on both eyes, top and bottom lids, and cherry-eye in one eye.
Whew! Poor guy went through a lot.
He then went to our medical foster home where he could get the necessary care and recovery time.
Now he’s all healed up and he can see! Cedric is still in that foster home because his foster mom loves him too much to send him back to the shelter.
?
Since he’s in a home, we are learning so much about him.
Cedric is crate-trained and housebroken.
He is great with other dogs, but does play rough and can be a bit much for some dogs.
He LOVES people and loves other dogs.
He uses his paws quite a bit to let you know he wants attention.
Cedric is learning leash manners and doing well.
He is always happy and KNOWS if you’re sitting on the sofa that he should be sitting on you.
He’s such a cuddle-bug! He is active and will need a home/family that will get him the exercise needed to keep him happy.
This silly boy makes his foster mom laugh every day! Need a “little” laughter in your life?
