Meet Chica
Chica is a beautiful Shepherd or Shepherd mix.
Chica was found in a neighborhood in Southwest Houston. Standing in the middle of the street, it was obvious that life hadn’t been very kind to her at all. With temperatures over 100 degrees, and over 2 months with no rain, this poor girl wasn’t doing so well. She was emaciated and limping. She was walking along people's homes looking in buckets and planters, in search of any water or food she could find. After following her for 20 mins., she finally collapsed in someone's driveway. I tossed her some food, slowly approached her, and gently slipped the lead around her neck. I opened my truck door and she jumped right in. She curled up, and passed out in under a minute. She knew she was safe now.
Chica is a pretty quiet and mellow girl. She is good on a leash, and really enjoys her walks. Chica is very smart and obedient. She is crate trained, and will make an amazing companion.
Chica is not dog aggressive, but is dog selective, and may be best as an only dog. If you are looking for a buddy, look no further. She will steal your heart, as she has with all the volunteers at the WUWF Rescue Center.
Chica is about 8 years old and is located in Houston. Transport to other states is available.
