Meet Chicken Scratch/Rocky
So what's a big lab boy with a spotted tongue doing hanging out at the country feed store? Looking for some chicken scratch! This kid showed up hungry and never left so he decided to take matters into his own hands. A bag of chicken scratch (powdery seed mixture for our feathered friends) was in his reach so he decided to have a little taste. And tasted it he did until the feed store owners caught him in the act! Out came this boy with a nose covered in, you got it, Chicken Scratch. Hence, the name.

Well, as it goes in Texas, the local ranchers were pulling out their guns when this big guy trotted through on his way to the feed store for his snack and told the store peeps they were going to shoot him if he came back their way. That's when we got a call from our worker, Melissa, who frequents this store for her farm pets. Fortunately, we had a kennel coming available.

This handsome devil is affectionate, dog friendly and even passed his cat test! He is quite the looker to with an unusual spotted tongue and some double dews on those big back webbed feet. Our guess is that Chicken Scratch is what is known as a Pyrador! A black lab x pyrenees mix. Handsome as all get out and funny too. You don't want to miss out on this doggo!
