In August, due to the death of their owner, we were asked to take in 5 Chihuahuas/Chihuahua mixes. It is so sad when a person has pets who are completely dependent on them, and that person passes away not having made any provisions or directives for these little souls who are left behind. The Fabulous Five were brought into us having been taken from their home and being bounced around unsecured in the back of a pick-up truck. Needless to say, they were very confused and terribly frightened. The person who brought them in to us knew their names, but little else. It has taken time and patience to establish a relationship and earn their trust, but they are coming around very well and doing their best. This little fellow is named Chico. He is 11 years of age and one of the quietest ones of the bunch. He is truly a sweet and gentle little boy. He is a little chubby at 12 pounds and could stand to lose a couple of pounds. Chico is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped, and crate trained. This boy takes a little bit to warm up, is not comfortable on leash and will need to have a secure fenced yard. He is loving, but does not like to be held (unless there is a thunderstorm going on).
Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered.
