The event is from 12 pm to 3 pm at Palo Alto's Pet Food Express.
Those interested in meeting the dog can come out to our meet and greet event.
We no longer do application approval onsite.
Anyone adopting has been previously approved and set up to meet prior to the event.
Adoption Fee: $600 Chita Rivera is a 3 year old Pug x Dachshund mix who can't wait to EGOT with her forever home! Chita was surrendered to us when her former home was moving and wasn't able to bring her with them.
Well, we promised her the best second chapter of her story and we know that she will find it with her pawfect forever home! Below is a note from Chita's foster.
"Chita is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever met! She loves to snuggle and curl up under blankets with you during these rainy days.
She is a bit shy when she first meets new people but it is so rewarding to see her come out of her shell and figure out everyone is lining up to give her snuggles! Chita loves to follow her people around in the hopes they will drop some food or sit down so she can hop into your lap.
We know that she is going to make her new people so happy.
Like her namesake, she is destined for greatness and adoration.
Chita starts her morning when we do, between 7-9 AM.
She goes outside for a potty break and then gets a short walk before breakfast.
During the day, she lounges and naps, spending her time with her foster sibling.
Once we return from work, she soaks up all the love we have to offer until it is time for dinner at 6 PM.
She watches TV with us as we unwind from the day and then heads to curl up on my bed for the night.
Chita is best friends with her foster sister, Maisie.
They love to play together, snuggle together, and walk right next to each other.
Chita would love another dog in her forever home but she would do fine as a solo dog.
She promises that if you give her the chance to bloom, she will be your new best friend forever." Chita Rivera is an option for homes with prior dog experience, even if that experience is less recent.
Kids in the home should be over the age of 10.
