Well fam, we did it again.
Another angel that was set to be killed after being hit by a car.
Please give a warm welcome to Churro (fka Bosco).
Churro arrived to SEAACA on Friday, 2/2.
a volunteer saw him being wheeled off to the shelter's outside vet, VCA until 2/6, when SEAACA reopened.
The shelter scheduled him for euthanasia on Friday, 2/9, the day that his stray hold was up.
Per his shelter notes, the shelter's vet recommended x-rays, yet he was at VCA for days and didn't receive them.
Churro is 55 lbs.
and approximately 5 years old and is alive because many people fought like hell to find a foster that could keep him until he's adopted.
Churro went from the shelter, directly to one of our vet partners for bloodwork, x-rays, urinalysis, fecal and overall exam.
X-rays confirmed broken ribs and broken teeth.
He has erosive nasal planum (discoloration on his nose), which could be signs of an autoimmune disease.
Churro is currently on bed rest for his broken ribs, has been neutered and gotten his teeth fixed.
Wahoo! He is accepting applications while he gets his much needed beauty rest.
