Meet Cinderella
ABOUT CINDERELLA
Talk about a fitting name! While the famous character is known for losing a glass slipper, this Cinderella is also a little uneven on her legs. Cinderella has a dislocated hip, resulting in a wobble when she walks, similar to if you had one high heel on but were missing the other. She has had FHO surgery in early March to correct this. Luckily, her operation has been paid for by generous donors. She spent her recovery in a loving foster home and is now seeking an adopter!
Cinderella is a 1 year old yellow lab mix that loves meeting new people! Despite her previous injury, she moves around great and enjoys going for walks. She knows basic commands and walks well on a leash. Cinderella has been an absolute love for our staff. After some sniffing time outside, she is sure to climb in your lap for kisses and cuddles. Cinderella loves people, though she would do best with children that can understand she has a sore spot and it hurts her if you touch it. Due to her recovery period and her inability to run, she has not been in doggy playgroup. She would likely need a home with older, calmer dogs that can respect her space during her recovery process as she still has some tender spots from the surgery.
In the meantime, you are welcome to submit an adoption questionnaire if interested in adoption! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog, but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
