Picked up as a stray and taken to the county shelter, Clarice was quickly placed on the euthanasia list after they discovered she was unable to bear weight on her front leg.
Soon after they sent her labs out, she was diagnosed with valley fever, which that sealed her fate.
She couldn't leave the shelter alive, unless she went to rescue.
As soon as we saw those precious eyes and sweet smile, we just couldn’t stand the fact that this gorgeous, one-year-old girl would be euthanized for such a treatable disease.
We busted her out of there, and she surprised us with full-on tail wags and a bouncing personality that made us second-guess she was fighting anything at all.
This girl is resilient! Clarice was immediately seen by our veterinarian and placed on proper pain medications and antifungals to fight her valley fever.
All of that aside, though, Clarice remains a carefree, active girl, who loves dogs, people, kids, and honestly, just life in general.
She is a daily reminder to us that she more than deserved that second chance at life we're grateful we could give her -- she truly is something special.
Clarice would LOVE a home with another dog to play with.
She does well in public places, loves car rides, and is up for any adventure.
She has been learning her obedience commands and now knows sit, lay, place and how to not pull on the leash during walks.
She is even potty and crate-trained! Clarice’s adoption fee includes her completed veterinary exams, spay, vaccinations and you are ready for an adventure girl up who's literally up for anything -- especially all the cuddles and snuggles she can get -- apply below to meet this special girl.
She'll have you wrapped around her finger in no time.
