Meet Clifford
There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home.
Clifford was dumped on the side of a rural road with a litter of puppies. They were rescued by good Samaritans. Clifford is a super wonderful dog. He is very sweet and good-natured. He is a beta and almost all of the other dogs love him. Some of the little male dogs like to intimidate him but he simply tries to ignore them. He is very playful and loves playing with all of them. Clifford has shown an interest in chasing cats, so he may not be good with them. Clifford is mostly Chow. He weighs around 60 pounds and we estimate he may be around 2 years old. Clifford is crate-trained, knows how to sit, and walks well on a leash. He rides well in a vehicle but is a bit nervous about getting inside the vehicle. Clifford is fabulous with children. He is a bit shy with new people (especially men) and takes some time to trust. We are sure he was abused by whoever had him before. Clifford does need work with housetraining (sure he has never been in a house before) and could probably use other gentle obedience training. He gets scared when someone yells or talks in a mean voice. Clifford must be in the house as a loved member of the family. He needs to be walked on a leash and would like a securely fenced yard to run and play.
Clifford is healthy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Clifford has been treated for heartworms and they are now dead. He is on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Clifford's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport. Clifford cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Please send an email if you are interested in adopting this wonderful boy.
