Meet Clifford
Clifford is about 5 years old and is a super handsome bloodhound.
Clifford came to Rescue4All as part of a cruelty case back in January 2021.
He was kept for months confined in a kennel that he couldn’t stand, sit, or even turn around...in his own excrement. He was very thin and had suffered unimaginable abuse and neglect.
He has spent the last year at the refuge learning to trust humans and how to be a dog.
He is still a work in progress (aren’t we all).
He is great with other dogs, he is good with dog savvy cats, he needs slow positive introductions with new people.
He is house trained, crate trained, knows his name, some basic commands, and is VERY true to his hound nature and breed.
His ideal home has a fully fenced in yard, dog experience, hound experience, is going to continue his training, is active, no children under the age of 13, and can continue with his progress and recovery.
His two biggest remaining issues are issues with food so he is exclusively fed in his crate and once he is in the car he is very protective of it which we are working on desensitizing him to being in the car and not guarding it.
He is big ol’ happy, doofy, slobbery, nose to the ground guy and has a bloodhound bay that can shake the windows.
A fully fenced yard is required with a minimum height of 6 feet of the entire perimeter.
He is neutered, fully vaccinated (DHPP & Rabies), microchipped, and has had deworming treatments.
