ABOUT COOPER
Are you looking for a sensitive sweetie? Meet Cooper! He is a 5 year old terrier mixed breed, just under 45lbs. He originally came to us from a high-intake shelter partner in North Carolina, when they no longer had space for him. Cooper loves to go for walks and enjoys bouncing around our fenced fields with his fur friends. He walks well on a leash, already knows basic commands, and is house-trained. He is food motivated to learn, making the possibilities endless with him! He has made dog friends while here, loves every human he meets, and is always up for an adventure. Despite being a mature pup, he has lots of playful energy. While he loves meeting people and is very friendly, he prefers adults or older kids. He would love a family to give him the life and unconditional love he deserves!

Cooper spent a couple weeks in foster with one of our volunteers. They frequently foster for us and were quick to say Cooper is the best behaved pup they have ever had in their home! He would lay on his doggy bed or the couch and come cuddle when he wanted love.

Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog, but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
