Meet Copper
Meet Copper, a 5-month-old Hound mix.
Copper and his siblings were reported as abandoned at a lower valley police department. These sweet babies are all so kind and loving. They are already pretty large but will grow more so will need adopters that are looking for large breed snuggle bugs. While they are a little under-socialized that doesn't stop them from trying very hard to please the shelter staff. Each puppy loves treats and is eager to please. It is important that adopters do some breed research about hounds prior to adoption. Due to their shyness they may enjoy homes that have another dog for them to bond with.
remember that Copper is a puppy and puppy behavior comes with the package. They need basic training and potty training along with being provided chew toys to encourage proper chewing habits. All puppies require socializing from a young age to help them become the best, most well-rounded dog they can be.
This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday.
A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.
