Coral is looking for a home with adopters who have lots of time and patience to help her settle into her new life and build her confidence with reassurance, gentle guidance and positive training. Coral mixes well with other dogs here at the centre and shares a kennel with another dog so although not essential, she could live with another dog or dogs. If she is the only dog in her home, she would be happy to have doggy pals to walk and play with. She cannot live with cats or small furries. Any children in her home will need to be 16 years old and over who will interact gently with her and give her space when she needs it. Coral settles nicely when left on her own, so although she will need an initial period of settling time with lots of company, she could be introduced to a couple of hours of leaving time if it is introduced and built up gradually. Adopters will need to undertake all her basic training including housetraining so she will ned access to a secure and private garden for this and for pottering and playing. Coral will need to meet her adopters multiple times to build a strong bond prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying.
Coral is a sensitive 2 and a half year old German Shepherd with the cutest floppy ears! She has some big feelings about the world but with lots of patience is starting to come out of her shell and show us what a beautiful, loving girl she is. When she first came to the centre, she wasn’t sure about what to do with toys but slowly she has started to show interest in soft toys and is very sweet and gentle with them. She is also starting to enjoy gentle fusses with her handlers once a bond is built. A big fan of tasty treats, she takes them very carefully and this will be a great way to build a bond with her and engage her in training. Coral is still a young girl with her whole life ahead of her and she deserves a home that will give her all the love, care and time to flourish into the wonderful dog she can be!
