Meet Crunk
Born around November 2022, Crunk is a male Great Pyrenees mix (best guess). He is a medium/large dog expected to be approximately 50-60 lbs at adult weight. Crunk will do best in a relatively active household where he's able to go for a run or hike regularly. He would benefit from walks 2-3 times per day. While this is not required, he will be the best version of himself if he's allotted a decent amount of daily exercise, at least for the first couple of years while he's a younger, more energetic dog. We are unsure how he would be with cats, but he doesn't seem to have much of a prey drive. Great with kids and dogs, he would fit well into most families.
He will need an owner who can assert calm, strong leadership. Once boundaries are set, he is respectful of them. His infectious smile and affectionate demeanor will instantly put you in a good mood. Ideally, his forever home would include lots of toys so he can play fetch and tug! He would also love a dog friend to wrestle and chase.
Crunk was rescued off of a Reservation here in Washington when he was just a wee pup. He was very skinny and malnourished. He landed himself in a shelter in Spokane and then ended up in a foster home. He was so charming that he got himself adopted by the foster family, along with his sister. Due to a very personal family matter, Crunk and his sister were surrendered to the rescue at 8 months old.
Crate trained, potty trained, sleeps all night, and is working on leash training and basic commands.
At the rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high-risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. We are 100% foster based and rely on volunteers and fosters to help in our mission. Our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED.
We will choose the most suitable home for each dog, not the first application received.
If the dog you are applying for is adopted, we have good matchmakers that will help you find your perfect new four-legged family member.
Since the dogs that come up are rescues, not much is known about them. Therefore breed and adult sizes are our best guesses and we cannot guarantee this information is accurate.
Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option to your local area for an additional delivery surcharge of $250.
