Meet Curry
Curry's Personality
Curry is a sweet, loving and very active boy who loves people. He is very easy-going and gentle with people. At night, he needs to be able to sleep on your bed.
But don't let Curry's gentle demeanor fool you - this boy is extremely active when he's in play mode. As a young male, he is full of energy - needing a lot of play time with people and access to toys. Curry loves to play fetch - just throw a toy across the room for him to chase and he brings it back to you! He can also be quite entertaining - Curry likes to stand on his back legs to look around or respond to a treat in your hand - like a Meerkat. Cute!
Like most cats, Curry will need a little time to settle in. He is not shy though and likes to quickly explore his surroundings. Curry tends to eat his food really fast and tries to convince you he's still hungry after a meal. This behavior will dissipate over time as he settles in and realizes he's safe indoors and will continue to get regular meals. His caretaker MUST measure his food portions - no free feeding. Otherwise, Curry will overeat.
Type of Home Curry Needs
Curry needs an active home with plenty of attention from people. A family with kids is ideal - he needs people who want to play and interact with him. Having plenty of room to roam around is a plus. We also think Curry will benefit greatly by having another young male cat to bond and play with. We will need to assess these factors - whether there are kids in the home and/or another cat - to make sure he gets the interaction he needs.
Where Curry Came From
Curry was abandoned outside of an apartment building when his caretakers moved out. The nice couple who found him had seen him several times in a neighbor's doorway. After the neighbors moved out, Curry was found outside the entrance to the building - cold and hungry. Hard to understand why people would be so cruel - to any animal, but especially to such a loving kitty like Curry.PLEASE NOTE: we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA.
