Meet Daffy
Daffy, 2 years old, neutered male, Plott Hound Mix, 65 pounds. He is in a foster home in Houston, Texas and can be transported to an approved adopter.
Daffy was picked up as a stray on the City of Houston streets and then found himself on the euthanasia list at BARC. He was minutes away from being euthanized when a plan came together to save him. Dizzy Dog Animal Rescue and his foster saved his life. Now he is ready for his furever family.
Daffy is a fun loving playful guy. He loves to play with other dogs, his foster mom's senior dogs are not to thrilled about playtime so she signed him up for doggy day camp and he has made honor roll there! Cats are unknown
He would be best in a home with other dogs that like to play and with his energy level his family should be active. We would say children over 10 because he sometimes does not know his own size and when he gets excited he could knock them over.
He does need some leash manners as he will pull and likes to go all over the place but he is willing to learn.
Daffy is fully house trained and uses his crate. His foster mom feeds him in his crate so he has his own space to eat. He loves his food so much she feeds him with a slow feeding bowl.
Daffy's Quirks - if not supervised he will take things from inside the house to the yard. He will need to be crated when left because he is still young and will get into things he should not.
He does know his name and will come running when called. Daffy loves to play catch and also just be by his person. He is an all around good boy - just young and strong.
