Daisy’s energy level is the perfect combo of active and couch potato.
She loves running, jumping and playing catch (and will bring balls or sticks back), is very agile and quick but also happy to just relax and be a couch potato and stick by her person and get belly rubs.
(She stayed with me in bed all day for 2 days while I was sick.) At the same time, she loves outdoor play: she jumps high or prances when she is excited, catches balls in the air and would probably enjoy agility training.
She loves the outdoors and following smells.
while she is getting used to a leash and still pulls, she is working on that with treat training and her size makes her quite easy to manage on a leash.
She is very smart and alert.
Knows the words “treat” and “potty” already.
She knows how to sit.
we are working on not jumping up on folks when she gets excited to greet.
She is motivated by snacks and seems to be a quick learner.
She is not fully potty trained yet, but tends to keep her crate clean.
She is loyal, alert, and vigilant.
She will be very attached and protective of her owner.
Very affectionate.
she tends to like to stay close to her people and becomes stressed when she is left alone so would be best in a home where she is not alone for long periods or with a person who works from home.
She appears to be about a year old.
She still has a bit of puppy energy- loves to give chewy kisses, play and hop, roll over on her back and snuggle.
she is alert and vigilant.
She would probably do best in a quiet home in an environment with not a lot of new people coming through or young children, and a person that works from home and can give her love and attention.
With the right person, she will be an absolutely loyal and loving companion.
She gets along well with other dogs.
We do not recommend kids because while she has been wonderful, playful and seems at ease with kids, she is also very protective and has shown fearful tendencies.
She startles easily, is timid, and because she is protective of her people she shows the potential to be aggressive towards strangers.
she will growls, barks or “huffs” at strangers and may run away or approach in an aggressive manner to protect, for example in the scenario of unknown adults coming near my kids.
I am happy to talk to anyone interested in her about what I think her strengths are (which are many!!) and where she needs help with the right fit for her temperament.
