Meet Daisy Sue
***Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.***
Daisy Sue, estimated 3.5 months (DOB April 2023), female, Hound mix estimated to be medium breed when full grown. She is in a foster home in HOUSTON, TEXAS and can transport out of state once an adopter is approved.
Daisy and her friend were left in a crate outside a feed store. Our foster happened to be there and saw them in the covered crate in the scorching heat. She immediately took them home once she learned someone intentionally dumped them there.
She is a typical puppy with bursts of energy, followed by naps. She interacts with all the dogs in the home, who are all little dogs. She has been around kids and cats and does great. We always recommend a home with kids who are respectful of animal boundaries and always ask they are supervised.
She does well when crated and uses the doggy door to potty outside. We imagine in a transition there will be some accidents until she learns the routine in her new home.
Daisy is very cuddly and affectionate. She is looking for a home who is excited for the joy (and challenges) of raising a puppy. If there is not another dog in the home, we ask you note how you plan to socialize her with other dogs.
We want to emphasize that we are taking our best guess at age and breeds. We do not know how big she will get when fully grown and have no way of knowing that.
Puppies under 6 months of age are placed on a spay/neuter contract until they are old enough to be altered.
For puppies this age, someone needs to be home more than they are away as crating them for long periods of time is not conducive for their developmental needs.
*Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time.***
