Meet Dakotah
DAKOTAH (aka Frost) - is a beautiful girl with a mischievous look given by her ears - one straight, one floppy! She loves to take long walks in nature accompanied by her favorite human.
DAKOTAH had a rough start. She was rescued after a brother and sister got a call that some horrible people were trying to abuse her with a welding torch!!
She was named WHITEY by her rescuers whom she lived with in Lebanon for about a year until she had the chance to travel to Canada.
She arrived to Canada about 2.5 to 3 years ago and was renamed FROST by her new family. Though her first family loved her, they could not provide her with the the care and training she needed as they had children and other dogs.
Her second Canadian adopter renamed her DAKOTAH. She also loves her very much, and has one other small chihuahua. She recently moved to a smaller townhouse in a subdivision without a backyard. She goes away a lot on weekends in the summer and places her in boarding. This has affected DAKOTAH’s stability.
DAKOTAH needs an opportunity to properly decompress, long term, and to adjust to her new surroundings as her name and homes have changed several times, faster than she can adapt.
She needs a peaceful home with a calm, patient and experienced adopter who can spend time training her and taking long walks with her. She would benefit from a fenced backyard and possibly country or suburban living with regular hikes in nature. A single person, or calm home, no kids. An older calm dog may be good for her, though not a must.
If you are looking for a loyal companion to accompany you on your nature adventures DAKOTAH is your girl. This girl deserves a chance at happiness!
