My name is Darby.

I am a 16 year young shih-tzu, recently vaccinated and microchipped.

I was recently neutered, so I still have a bad habit of marking on things.

I wear a belly band, it's a diaper that goes around my belly to catch any marking.

I did also have bladder stones, so I'll likely need to stay on urinary diet vet food.

It will take me time to trust you.

I can be very nervous when being pet or touched.

Once I trust you I do enjoy belly rubs and head scritches.

I love to play with my squeaky slipper toy.

I'm so good at murdering it (but never rip it up).

During the day I relax on my bed in the kitchen.

I'm fine with other dogs, really indifferent, so get along fine.

Darby would do best in a home without too much activity.

He is still uncertain when you make quick movements toward him.

He would do great in a home with another dog or dogs that are also lower energy.

I recently got neutered so my marking may decrease, but no guarantee.

Adoption fee is $295.

He is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, current on vaccines and has received a wellness exam.
