Delilah is a 3- or 4-year-old Lab cross.
She was found as a pregnant stray in Sandoval County, had her puppies the morning after she came into the shelter and raised 11 pups in foster care.
The puppies are weaned now, and they and Delilah are moving toward their forever homes.
Delilah likes taking naps, hanging out in the backyard, wrestling with her foster brother and chomping on chews.
She gets along well with other dogs, as long as they're not near her food.
She is food aggressive toward dogs -- but not humans -- so she'll need to be fed in a separate room from any other dogs.
Delilah's docile and obedient with humans and often stays calm when the other dogs in her foster home are barking.
She's good at taking her bathroom business outside, although she can't go for a whole work day without a potty break.
She may chew things that don't belong to her if she's left alone or if she needs to go outside but no one is home to open the door.
She's afraid of leashes, and so will need more work to get comfortable walking on one.
She's very reserved when first meeting a new person, but will show affection once she warms up to someone.
She was accepting of kids the one time she met some while in foster care.
Unknown on cats.
Please note that Delilah is an accomplished escape artist who will need to go out on a leash or have a secure yard with a metal or cinder block/rock fence at least four feet high, as she can jump 3-1/2 feet easily, open unlocked gates and chew through wooden fences.
