Meet Dexter

Dexter is a handsome Coon Hound who loves to show off his goofy and easy going personality! This friendly guy enjoys stuffed animals, sniffary walks, and howling his hellos to you. He loves his stuffed animals so much that he insists on sniffing out new ones around the shelter and adding them to his ever growing collection. He will even throw his stuffies up in the air and catch them for a solitary game of fetch!!

Dexter is confident, friendly, playful and happy. Dexter has gotten along with most of the other dogs at the shelter so he could do well with a dog buddy with a slow and safe introduction.
Dexter is a strong dog with a keen nose, but he does do well on walks in a harness with someone who feels comfortable handling large size dogs.

Due to Dexter's enthusiasm in using his voice to communicate, he would not be suitable in an apartment.
